Long time I had thoughts what to be my first post here. I was in Israel not long ago and I thought maybe something from their culture and cuisine, or something about one of my favorite restaurants there. I had doubt between something traditional, related with the Jewish new year like Gefilte fish or traditional dessert for the holiday. After I decided to share with you about one of those "secret" places, like the "restaurant" in Yafo with THE BEST humus, or about the shuarma in Haifa, or about the amazing knafe in Nazareth... But today, after I saw and tasted the result from the quickly cooked dinner, I decided I must share it with you. The cooking time of this yummy dish was literally 40 minutes. So, the ingredients for 4 servings are:
Ingredients:
0.7 kg salmon fillet
1 lemon
oregano
soy sauce
0.3 kg fresh spaghetti pasta
1 Tbsp butter
0.35 kg cremini mushrooms
1 yellow onion
2 cloves garlic
50 grams fromage fondu
shredded parmesan
100 ml dry white wine Chardonnay
basil leaves
salt
pepper
olive oil
Directions:
Start with the salmon. Preheat the oven to 200 C. Wash the salmon fillet with cold water and cut it to 4 equal pieces. Grease baking pan with butter and put the salmon fillets in it. Season with salt, pepper and soy sauce. Pour on the lemon juice, little bit olive oil and season with oregano. Put 100 to 150 ml water in the baking pan, cover with aluminium foil and put in the oven.
Continue with the spaghetti. Put water to boil. Season with salt and olive oil and boil the spaghetti according the directions on the package. Cut the onion, mushrooms and garlic. In a frying pan preheat 1 Tbsp olive oil and add the chopped onion, mushrooms, garlic and the butter. Cook on medium heat until almost ready. Add the white wine, the fromage fondu and the shredded parmesan. Season by taste with salt and pepper. When it is ready add the fresh basil. Mix the ready spaghetti and the mushroom sauce.
Salmon must be ready. Serve each salmon fillet with part of the spaghetti on the side. We add a glass of nice Cabernet Sauvignon and there it is a wonderful end of the week with the fatal 13th Friday.
